1. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available only in the following circumstances:
- Damaged Book: The book arrived with damage that affects its use or appearance
- Defective Book: The book has printing errors, missing pages, or binding issues
- Incorrect Order: You received an incorrect or incomplete order
Not Eligible for Refund:
Change of Mind Refunds: Refunds are not available if you change your mind about your purchase after the order has been dispatched. Since this is a physical book being delivered by courier, all sales are final for change of mind requests.
2. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for a damaged, defective, or incorrect book, you must:

- Inspect Your Book: Carefully inspect your book within 7 days of delivery
- Gather Evidence: Take clear photographs showing the damage or defect from multiple angles
- Contact Us: Email us at the address provided in Section 7 with:
- Your order reference number
- Clear photographs of the damage/defect
- A brief description of the issue
- Await Assessment: We will review your claim within 3 business days
- Receive Resolution: We will offer either a replacement or refund
Important Deadline: You must report any damage, defects, or errors within 7 days of delivery. Claims made after this period cannot be processed.
3. Proof Requirements
To support your refund claim, we may require:
- Photographs of the damaged or defective book (clear, high-resolution images)
- Your original order confirmation email
- Proof of delivery (courier receipt or confirmation)
- A description of when the damage/defect was discovered
Providing clear photographic evidence significantly speeds up the refund process. Without adequate proof, we may not be able to process your claim.
4. Refund Amount
If your refund is approved, the following amounts will be refunded:
- Book Price: Full refund of the book purchase price (R180 per book)
- Courier Fee: Full refund of the shipping cost (R70) for damaged or defective items
The total refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval.
5. Replacement vs. Refund
When you request a refund for a damaged, defective, or incorrect book, we may offer:
- Replacement: A new copy of the book sent to you at no additional cost
- Refund: A full refund of the purchase price and shipping cost
The choice between replacement and refund is at our discretion, based on the nature of the issue and availability. In most cases, we will offer to send a replacement first. If you prefer a refund instead, please specify this in your claim.
Return of Damaged/Defective Books
In some cases, we may request that you return the damaged or defective book to us for inspection. If this is required, we will provide return instructions and cover the return shipping costs.
6. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refund or replacement:
- Books purchased and delivered without damage or defects
- Purchases cancelled after dispatch has begun
- Books damaged by the customer after delivery
- Orders where the customer provides an incorrect delivery address
- Change of mind purchases (no longer wanted)
- Orders more than 7 days after delivery

8. Refund Processing Timeline
Once your refund claim is approved, the refund will be processed according to the following timeline:
- Claim Submission: Day 0
- Initial Assessment: Within 3 business days
- Request for Additional Info (if needed): Within 5 business days
- Refund Approval: Within 7 business days
- Refund Processed to Your Account: 5–10 business days after approval
Total Time to Receive Refund: Typically 10–15 business days from submission
9. Disputes and Appeals
If you disagree with our refund decision, you may submit an appeal within 5 business days of receiving our decision. Your appeal should include:
- Your original claim reference number
- An explanation of why you disagree with our decision
- Any additional evidence not included in your original claim
We will review your appeal and provide a final decision within 5 business days.
10. Applicable Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from this policy will be resolved in accordance with South African law.
